DIRECTORY OF GOVERNMENT PRIME CONTRACTORS -- Published annually since 1959.
(For ORDERING information, please see bottom of this product's description)
Listing of government contractors in all fields of industrial and R&D endeavors, containing name and address of company, codes indicating the products and research activities involved, with indicator for companies that received at least one contract of over $500,000.
This Directory is organized for your immediate use and consists of two major sections:
Section I is organized alphabetically by firm name (like a telephone book), and Section II (not a cross index but a complete directory by itself) is organized in zip code number sequence.
This 2-part directory has many uses. Briefly stated, Section I allows you to check on organizations whose names you know, and to keep tabs on those in your line of business. Section II permits you to locate companies in your area -- whether you are checking on known or unknown competitors, or whether you are trying to locate firms in your vicinity from whom to secure SUBcontracts.
By having this directory organized in two separate and complete arrangements, many additional marketing applications are possible. For example, Section II's zip code sequence has the additional function of giving you a ready-to-use mailing list -- national and local -- (in this application alone you could realize savings of over $5,000 in list rental charges).
If you are a "small business" (by government standards, generally meaning your company has less than 500 employees), the feature identifying $500,000 plus contracts has a number of additional benefits.
For one, this means that your firm is entitled to special consideration by these companies for subcontract purposes; in fact the government's Small Business Administration is monitoring such contracts for purposes of compliance in this respect. So it may pay for you to immediately identify those companies in your area so you can contact them with your capabilities (Section II makes this very, very easy).
In addition this $500,000 plus contract feature automatically pin-points for you companies that have received, and are capable of handling larger volume work. This translates (even if you're NOT small business) into a more desirable prospect contact for proportionately larger subcontracts.
